Every Valentine’s Day we parents gift our children with beautiful flowers, candy, chocolate, and stuffed animals that really serve little purpose.  It’s time we give them something they will love and can use long after Valentine’s is over.  A gift that will aid in kids health and hydration. Gululu! Gululu is the ultimate kids water bottle that features a pet-tamagui like that grows and goes through underwater adventures each time your child drinks.

My daughter received her first “very own” Gululu for Christmas and she hasn’t been without it for a single day!  She just loves it so much.  It was the highlight of her gifts.  She kept repeating in a high-pitched squeal “My very own Gululu! My very own Gululu!”  She was one happy little girl to finally have a Gululu of her very own!

  • I once received, among a couple of other small gifts just for me, a handmade and customized journal from my then-boyfriend. He had made it for the two of us to share. The whole thing was really neat, and set up sort of like a scrapbook. The idea was for us to take turns having the notebook, and to pass it back and forth. We did this for a couple of years. We went our separate ways over a dozen years ago, but we’re still friends. And, it was a pretty cool gift idea that led to a lot of cool memories.

  • I can’t really think of anything non traditional, except that my husband and I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day only one day a year. We both believe we should be celebrating every day of the year!

  • A few years ago I’ve asked my husband for a food steamer as a gift, and I’ve got it. 🙂

  • Not too many non traditional ones as hubby always buys me flowers. Last year he purchased me a necklace. So it’s always traditional.

  • What is the best non-traditional Valentine’s Day gift you have ever received?
I know roses are traditional…but not when they’re frozen! Before my husband and I got together and were just crushing on each other, we went out with a bunch of friends one Valentines Day. He bought me a white rose, but was too chicken to give it to me so he left it in his truck. Our friends fixed it so that he had to give me a ride home that night. When we got into his truck, he gave me the rose. Being February in Wisconsin, it was frozen. 20+ years later, I still get roses for Valentines Day. 11 red…and one frozen white rose.

  • a dishwasher. After years and years of handwashing the dishes my birthday and V-day are close together so my husband got me a dishwasher this year for a birthday/Bday present lol I guess you can say it is a win win for both of us, because he don’t have to hear me talk about neverending dishes anymore
