On Christmas Eve we make sugar cookie cutouts, and each kid decorates their own cookie to leave out for Santa. It gets pretty competitive as they try to make the one Santa will like best, and it encourages them to be creative.
In our family, Christmas Eve is called Nochebuena, and we follow the Cuban tradition of eating roast pork, black beans, rice, yucca, and garlicky mojo.
Drinking hot chocolate while putting up the tree and listening to Christmas music and then driving around looking at the lights or (depending the weather) stay in snuggle together (I have 3 babies) and watch Christmas movies, eat junk food and have no bed time for the babies lol
