Christmas Cookie Recipe for Kids: Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies!

All opinions expressed herein are my own!

One of my family’s favorite things to do anytime of the year is bake cookies, but when my littles help me bake, they often hinder more than they help.  To put an end to this problem, I started stocking my pantry with everything they need to make cookies all by themselves — they don’t even need a mixer! That’s right!  This easy recipe can be made with your basic wooden spoon and one mixing bowl!

One Bowl. One Spoon. 15 Minutes!

What’s also great about these cookies is they are fast.  You can be cuddling with your sweeties on the couch while eating one of their delicious chocolate peanut butter cookies in as little as 15 minutes!

No Mixer Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

(Cake Mix Cookies)

Ingredients:

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium/large mixing bowl, stir together cake mix, egg, and melted butter until fully incorporated.  Stir in peanut butter chips.

Roll spoonfuls of dough into balls and place them on cookie sheet 2 inches apart.

Bake for 12 minutes.

Baking Tips:  If you want your cookies looking bakery perfect, gently press 4-7 peanut butter chips onto the top of each cookie before you bake them.

Dust hands with confectioners sugar to prevent dough from sticking to your hands while forming dough balls.

  • Those do look so good! I made a ton of Christmas cookies right before I had Jury Duty last week. They were in the deep freezer. I found out my 14 year old had his own little stash of them in his room. I do not make cookies for us to just snack on. I make big plates for our works, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years.
